Hi! My name is Rita and my surname is Fonseca. I am thirteen years old. I am a student at school E. B 2, 3 of Penedono. I am from Penela and my address is Street of Pereira. My telephone number is two, five, four, five, oh, four, seven, six, eight. I am an only child. I like swimming, dancing, listening to music…
Nowadays there are many forms of giving information to the people: television, radio, newspapers, magazines, internet… All together constitute the mass media.
The television and the internet are the ‘tools’ that I use more to obtain informations of all kinds : school works, entertainments…
I only listen to the radio when I am in the car with my parents.
Instead of buying newspapers, I read the news on the internet, it’s cheaper.
Nowadays, everybody has the information they need because there are many ways to obtain it and I think this is a good thing.

Hello! My name is Fábio and my surname is Lameiras. I am fourteen years old. I am a student at school E.B 2, 3 of Penedono. My address is Rua do Cerieiro 3630 - 041 Beselga – Penedono and my telephone number is two, five, four, five, four, nine, oh, one, four. I am an only child but I have got lots a friends, so I never feel lonely.
I am strong and short. I am a good boy but I think I am sometimes boring and very impatient.
I like playing football, playing computer games, reading books, riding my bike and watching TV.
I like watching TV because television shows us everything: football games, movies, news… I think television is a very important mass media.
I also think radio is very important. It allows us to listen to music and hear the news. I like listening to music and dancing.
I never read magazines but I know magazines can teach us lots of things or simply entertain us.
Newspapers are very important because they let us know what is happening in the world. My father buys the newspaper everyday but I don’t like reading newspapers.
The Internet is more and more important nowadays. It allows me to speak with my friends and get informations of everything I need or want to know.
I think all these technologies are very important because they allow us to know new things.

Hello! My name is João Carvalho. I’m thirteen years old and I’m a student at school E.B. 2, 3 of Penedono. I live in Souto with my parents. I have got two sisters. They are older than me. I have got a dog and two cats. My telephone number is two, double five, oh, double four, five, oh. My address is “place of Urreiro 3630 Penedono”. In my free time I play football, I play computer games and “PLAY STATION”, I read a bit, listen to music and talk with my friends.
In my opinion, television is very important. Thanks to TV, I play “PLAY STATION”, I see cartoons, movies and watch other things when I don’t have anything to do.
Sometimes, I listen to the football reports on the radio. I think it’s very useful, specially when i want to hear new songs and know what’s “in”...
I don’t read newspapers. I think they all are important but I am young and I don’t feel like reading them. They are kind of boring. I only read the sports ones to know about my football team.
I think magazines aren’t interesting so I rarely read them.
The internet is very useful. It helps me with my school projects or works, but, to be honest, I’m not addicted to it.
